Cabin with Friends.. Dad's Birthday Bash.. and 4th of July Festivities!

Let me start out by saying that we had such a great Holiday Weekend. We kicked off the long weekend with an overnighter to Tom's cabin with our fun friends. We headed up with The Stokers, The Coons and The Grays! I think we might have the coolest group of friends ever! We ate dinner at the fabulous Pizza Place up in Midway! It was delicious! After dinner we had an intense softball game... Lunds and Coon vs. Stokers and Grays! Okay, okay we lost, but it was still lots of fun. We roasted marshmallows, ate lots of junk and played games til 2 in the morning. The kiddos had a fun time jumping on the tramp and just running around. It was so much fun!

Molls and I posing during the softball game.. this could be why we lost!

Cute Mal and Aspen!

The 3 Amigas!

The next morning we had a great sleep in and then made a big yummy breakfast... Eggs, bacon, hash browns... what beats that and being in the beautiful mountains? Not much. We ended our cabin getaway with a trip to the swimming pool. It was so pretty and perfect weather. Mollie is such a little fish. That girl has no fear of the water, which is good and bad at the same time. If she could she would just go jump in thinking she could swim. I love my bug!

Tom and Molls chilling out in the sun!

Love this one of Katie and Rush!! So sweet!

We had a great time with our friends at the cabin, and seriously can't wait to head up there again with all of them.

Sunday was also a great day! We celebrated my dad's 53 Birthday! I know isn't he so old? I can't believe it! He is taking on the nickname of "Old Man" since Gramps Cal isn't here to bet the old one anymore! To celebrate we made his favorite... Homemade Italian Pizza's on the grill! They were so good, and lots of fun to make. The kiddos just love Gramps so much that they can't get enough of him. Molls absolutely adores him, and loves snuggling up on his shoulder!

The Birthday Boy!!

Tessa and Gramps! Priceless pic!

My darling girl!!

Abbs made yet another one of her fabulous cakes, and it was so cute, festive and oh so good. My dad didn't even miss one candle at his old age when he blew them all out in one blow! Way to go Dad! Impressive!

So cute, right?

The moment of truth!

After cake we just hungout on the patio and had a great time with the kiddos and lots of the Birthday Boys favorite drink... Diet Coke! My family can't get enough of that stuff!

Sisters and our Diet Coke!

Molls, Olls and Tom! Cuties!

Dan and Abbie! The rest of us didn't get the "green" memo!

Ending the party playing in the pond!

We had a great time celebrating with my dad.. As always it was a fun party with lots of wild kids running around making it a riot!

Next comes the 4th of July! We got up super early with our cute decorated wagon in tow, and headed to the Millcreek Parade! It was so much fun to actually be in it with the kiddos this year instead of just being a spectator! The kids were troopers and had a ball! Our wagon was by far the cutest and most festive and so was Tessa's scooter!

Molls and Tom waiting for the parade to begin!

Lady Liberty ready to go!

The cute "girls" in the wagon! I love Ollie's face.. so Cute!

Mollie and Mom at the end of the route! Getting a little tired here!!

As you can see, we had a great Holiday Weekend filled with Family, Friends and Fun Festivities. I am so blessed to live in this Beautiful Country. God Bless America!

Date Night.. Yard Work.. Trampoline.. and Friends BBQ!

I need to play a little bit of catch up, don't I! Well, for starters, we had such a fabulous weekend! Oh my, it was perfect! Friday Night Tom and I decided it was time for a date night with just the two of us! It had been who knows how long since we had been on a date! It was much needed and we had a great time! Tom told me to meet him at Gateway at 6:15 Friday Night! I had no clue where we were going or what we were doing. It was a big surprise! He had reservations for us at Flemings! Wow, ritzy right? Yes, it was. It was so delicious! I ordered Halibut with goat cheese melted on top lying on a bed of mixed greens and beets drizzled with balsamic! I know, your mouth is watering. Tom ordered the steak of course. We shared a salad and the Fleming potatoes too! They were so creamy and savory. I didn't get a pic, because it was too good to even hesitate taking that first bite! Heavenly! For dessert we opted for the Chocolate Lava Cake with a side of Vanilla Ice-Cream! It was amazing!

Yummy Dessert!

We had a great time at dinner, and wanted to take advantage of the lovely evening outside. We walked around Gateway, did a little shopping and got some yummy cookies for dessert #2! We had a blast, and Molls had a great time hanging with Auntie Abbie, Grammie Stacy, and Gramps Chris! She was tuckered out, as were we from our fun date night out on the town!!
Tuckered out Little Girl!

Saturday was filled with yard work in the hot sizzling sun! Tom and I slaved away and it was a great day to be outside working in the garden! I love working in the yard it bring me so many endorphins its crazy!! I hope to one day be a master gardener like my mom and sister, Jess!

Work in Progress!

After the yard work we cooled off at the pool with our wonderful friends, The Coon's and The Lundquist's! We had a great time, and the kiddos loved it. Mollie has no fear! She was jumping off the diving board, sliding down the slide and floating all by herself! Where did my baby go? She is growing up way too fast! I am sad to say I forgot the camera for our swimming adventure, but I am sure there will be plenty more of those to come!

Sunday was fun too. We went to the Lund's for dinner to celebrate Tom's Aunt Jane's Birthday. It was fun and we had a great meal! Molls loved the corn! Finally, a vegetable she will eat! What a crack up she is.

Nibbling that Ear of Corn!
Mollie also couldn't get enough of the trampoline. She can jump all by herself without any help and she is coordinated while doing so! She is going to be quite the athlete with all the coordination!

My Big Girl!

Her and Cousin Peter played a little bit as well. Isn't Peter so cute and rock solid! Love that little man, he is adorable!! I just want to squeeze him!!

Cute Molls and Peter!

Today for FHE we had a combined BBQ at our house with The Coon's and Lundquists! It was a lot of fun. We grilled up some chicken and hot dogs, and had potatoes and chips and dip on the side! It was yummy! The kiddos had fun playing together and got along great! It is so much fun having such fun friends for Mollie to play with! She really enjoys it!

Cutest Friends!!

What a little stud!

Love that darling smile!

After dinner we decided we would have hand stand contests! Dallas and Katie killed everyone and had some dang good form!

Angie, Jake and I struggled a little bit, while Molls and Gabers were awesome!!

After, we had a Bachelorette watching party over at Coon's and had some Brownies and Leftover Cake from Last Night! It was full of drama and lots of fun! We had a short intermission to watch some "Illegal" Fireworks that Jake was super proud of! They were awesome, but left all the kiddos crying and little bit afraid of the Booms and Bangs!

We had a great time with our fabulous friends, and can't wait for our "Stuga" Cabin Adventure this next weekend!

Hope you all had as much fun the last few days as we have! Summer is the best! More fun to come soon!

Splashing Around..Pretty Toes.. New Sleeping Bag!

Did I ever mention how much I LOVE summer? And now that it is finally warm outside, summer just got ten times better! Yesterday was such a perfect day! We kicked it off with some afternoon fun and a picnic at the splash park in Herriman with our friends! Don't you think Mollie has the cutest friends? I do! They are such fun little pals, and Gabe is such the ladies man!

Cutest Friends Ever!

Lunchie Time!! Cutest bug, isn't she?

Love that face!

Cute Aspen!

After a fun afternoon at the Splash Park it was time for our Girls Night out! Me, Angie, Malory, Katie and Lindsey headed out for some pampering, frozen yogurt, and some great adult conversation! Don't get me wrong, singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider is fun, but some girl time without the kiddos was much needed! We started the evening with a trip to Stars Nails! Ang and I got our toes done while the other girls got their fingers glammed up! Oh it felt so great to get my ugly toes all cleaned up and looking cute! (As cute as those ET toes can look anyway!)

Wild color for me, but it just screamed summer so I went for it!!

After getting our nails all dolled up, we headed over to Menchies for the BEST Frozen Yogurt you will ever taste! I love that place! They have so many yummy flavors and lots of great toppings! After many samples, I decided to go with my favorite cake batter and pralines and cream! So good! I topped it off with yogurt chips, Caramel, Peanut Butter, Marshmallow Cream and Cookie Dough bites! Quite the combo I know, but it was so good!
We sat outside while we ate our frozen yogurt, the air was just the perfect temperature! We chatted for at least an hour or so, and then decided to call it night so we could spell our husbands from watching the kiddos! It was so much fun to get to know these girls on a "deeper" level! We had a blast, and I can't wait to do it again soon!

When I got home, we put Mollie to bed and then Tom disappeared! I went outside to find him laying in his new sleeping bag we gave him for Father's Day on the front lawn with Olive at his side! I had to snap a picture, because it was so nerdy yet so awesome! What a goon I married!

I love all the fun times I had this week, and its only going to get better with a hot date night with Tom tonight, and some fun Saturday fun with the family! Have a great weekend!

Summer is SO much FUN!!

We have had such a great summer so far! Oh, isn't summer just the greatest? I think so. We have had so much fun lately! Mollie is at such a fun age. She is wild and crazy most of the time and just makes me laugh all day long! We have so much fun with our little bug! She is has non-stop energy so we get to do lots of fun things to keep her busy.

Some of her latest words are Lindie (Yes, she rarely calls me mom), bubble, banana, apple, Abbie, Tessa, doggie, Buddie, hot, snack, Meems (for Grandma), bampa (grandpa), and she also growls like a lion! I love that girl!

We have spent the past few nights up at the Lake in Daybreak! Mollie absolutely loves it, and Tom and I have fun taking her!

The kiddos loved the Merry-go-round and all the animals. I think they liked the Elephants the best, but enjoyed it all! What a great day, and we can't wait to go back again soon!
