the crummy econony!

Well, life has been a little bit crazy for the last month. With the horrible economy I was let go from my job at Challanger and was left on a quest for a new job! So, I decided to go back and finish a CNA class I had started a few years ago. So, for the past two weeks I have been taking my class everyday from 8-5 and have been doing clinicals. It has been such a fun experience, and has made me so excited to get to work working in a Hospital Setting helping the patients with their care. I passed my first test on Saturday, which was a huge relief, and now just waiting for my time to take the state skills test! I am really excited about this new journey I am about to take part in.
When I started college I really wanted to go into nursing, but the timing of some life events didn't make that possible. I feel like this is my chance to do what I really want to do in life. I have thought about this a lot and prayed about it, and feel really great and feel like this is what is meant to be in my life. If I get a job the majority of Hospitals will pay 75-100% of your schooling. If you specialize in what they want and need they indeed will pay 100%. That makes me really excited! This means if I start this summer and go summer, fall, spring and summer again I will be done with school at the end of summer 2010 and a RN. I am so happy this opportunity has fallen right into my lap. So even though the economy is terrible I have been blessed with this amazing opportunity to reach out and make a difference in other peoples lives.

Attention... We have a Blog!

Hello! Welcome to the Loopie lives of the Lunds! My sister and friends have been bugging us about not having a blog. So, I am now attempting to create one. I am not very computer literate so we will see how this turns out.

Here is a little spiel about the Lunds. Tom and I got married August 20, 2008 in the Salt Lake Temple. So we are coming up on our six month mark of figuring out the whole newlywed thing, and all that comes along with living with a man! Just kidding Tom. Time has flown by, but we are loving our new life together!

We have a lot of fun together. We really enjoy playing tennis, skiing at the beautiful Deer Valley(or if I could pick, snowbird), snowshoeing, biking and much more in the great outdoors! We like an adventure! We just started up a coed indoor soccer team and are having a blast.

We live in an apartment and have to be out by May, so we are preparing to move somewhere. Now, where that is? We don't know. So we are on a quest! Tom is in school this semester at the U (GO UTES!), and has another year of undergrad in Business Finance. He works out by the airport at VMI Nutrition. He really enjoys what he does.

I am just finishing up my Early Childhood Education at the U, and will do my student teaching in the fall. I am starting a CNA course Monday that is a week long, and then will take the state test and try to get a job in one of the hospitals, hopefully leaning towards Primary Children's or the Huntsman Cancer Institute. So we will see where life takes us in the next little bit. We are up for anything and a new adventure will be coming our way soon.
